Why do people want to learn foreign languages? Why do people want to study English? Is it for pleasure ? Is it because they want to understand Shakespeare? There is a number of different reasons for language study such as studying for getting a better job or for survival in English communities, etc., but all these reasons turn around the concept of communication.

The communication represents the meaning of human relationship. This is a process of sending and receiving of different messages from one person to another one.

The English classes are the place where various types of communicative activities can be applied. The oral and written communicative activities, satisfy all learning skills such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. These activities help the teacher to develop the students' thinking, creativity, imagination and all the components of cognitive sphere. The motivation , the emotions, the attitudes towards something/somebody , the self-conscience and self-confidence can either be involved in communication. Students are somehow involved in activities that give them both the desire to communicate and a purpose which involves them in a varied use of language. They can do the best to use the language as individuals.

Thus in my project-work I intend to describe the nature of communication, the large spectrum of its activities, presented as the methods of improving the person's capacities.

To realise this main aim, I proposed myself some activity objectives to be realised:

1. To study the nature of communication and its relevance to various stages of learning.

2. To present communicative activities with a largely oral and written focus and their management on English classes.

3. To study the importance of communicative activities in development of student's personality, seen as an integrity of all psychic processes.

1. Theoretical interpretation of communicative phenomenon.

1.1. THE NATURE OF COMMUNICATION

Communication between humans is an extremely complex and ever-changing phenomenon. There are certain generalizations about the majority of communicative events and these will have particular relevance for the learning and teaching of languages.

As a process, communication represents a realization of informational transfer from the transmitter to the receptor, the transmitter being the person who sends an information and the receptor is the listener of the message.

Types of human communication:

- Verbal communication (oral) in form of dialogue, discussion,

interview, exposition, etc.;

- Emphatic communication(para verbal) ~ identification and

explanation of one's states of mood. (J.P. Guilford);
