1. Care sunt tipurile de comunicare

a. Nonverbal communication describes the process of conveying meaning in the form of non-word messages through e.g. gesture, body language or posture; facial expression and eye contact, object communication such as clothing, hairstyles, architecture, symbols and infographics, as well as through an aggregate of the above. Non-verbal communication is also called silent language and plays a key role in human day to day life from employment relations to romantic engagements.

b. Visual communication is the conveyance of ideas and information through creation of visual representations. Primarily associated with two dimensional images, it includes: signs, typography, drawing, graphic design, illustration, colours, and electronic resources, video and TV.

c. Oral communication, while primarily referring to spoken verbal communication, typically relies on both words, visual aids and non-verbal elements to support the conveyance of the meaning. Oral communication includes discussion, speeches, presentations, interpersonal communication and many other varieties. In face to face communication the body language and voice tonality plays a significant role and may have a greater impact on the listener than the intended content of the spoken words.

I have found out about a new drug called Mircera® [Pre-filled syringe], which is used in the treatment of anaemia associated with chronic kidney disease. It has not been established the safety and efficacy of Mircera therapy in other indications.

Treatment with Mircera has to be initiated under the supervision of a physician experienced in the management of patients with renal impairment. Mircera can be injected SC in the abdomen, arm or thigh. All 3 injection sites are equally suitable.

It is recommended that haemoglobin to be monitored every 2 weeks until stabilized and periodically thereafter. The starting dose recommended is: 0.6 mcg/kg body weight, administered once every 2 weeks as a single IV(intravenous) or SC(subcutaneous) injection in order to increase the haemoglobin to >11 g/dL (6.83 mmol/L).

Treatment with Mircera is normally long-term. However, it can be interrupted at any time, if necessary. Mircera is not recommended for use in children and adolescents <18 years due to a lack of safety and efficacy data.

Mircera is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin β, which is the contents of Mircera or any of the excipients of Mircera and also for patients with uncontrolled hypertension.

For caution, Mircera should not be mixed with other products. It has to be stored in the refrigerator at 2-8°C, protected from light and it should not be frozen.

COUGHING

Coughing is not a disorder, but a sympton of most of respiratory disorders. It is only a reflex act produced by the airway mucosal irritation, the existence of some impurities in the airway or due to some pathological results such as mucus in excess, blood or sputum in the airway.

There are two stages of coughing :

a. The irritative phase, in the initial stage of the illness, when coughing is dry and it presents no mucus ;

b. The productive phase, when there are secretions in abundance.

The cure for the first phase is some medicine with calming effect, antispasmodic or tranquilizer in order to release the airway and to give the pacient back the confort he needs.

For the second phase, after the airway had been released, it is recommended that the pacient should take medicine with the effect of dillution and then medication that clears mucus. That treatment may be based on herbal : linden, mallow, plantain, primrose, pine nuts or honey.
